YAC 2009 Competition/Festival

The Young Artist Committee in conjunction with the Herberger College for Kids at ASU presents this weeklong festival featuring recitals, workshops, and master classes by local as well as guest artists and clinicians. It also features the final rounds of the Schimmel Az Piano Phoenix Young Artist Piano Competition, The Schimmel USASU International Piano Competition for Young Pianists, and the Bösendorfer USASU International Piano Competition. The week's events culminate with the Winners Recital and Awards Ceremony. Funds for scholarships and summer institutes are raised from a number of private sources. Additional funding comes from grants from arts commissions, corporate underwriters, and voluntary donations by businesses, community organizations and individuals.
